Poem by Elizabeth Soroy

Your name is a wind that still moves through me,

a soft echo that rises in the quiet hours.

I look toward the Canyon,

and the light falls in a way that feels like you.

Grief carved me open,

but love kept me standing.

You are the reason I learned

that healing is not forgettring-

it is remembering with gentleness.

I carry you in every sunrise,

in every ritual I craft,

in every person I help find their breath again.

You are the stillness in the Canyon wind.

You are the warmth in the desert light.

You are the strength in my healing.

You are the reason I help others heal.

And in this sanctuary,

your spirit is everywhere -

guiding, softening,

loving me forward.
